Leadership

Steve Beauchamp

Steve Beauchamp

Co-Chief Executive Officer

A company is only as good as its people. And when I joined the company as CEO in 2007, I was excited by what I saw. I saw a company filled with incredibly talented people, all of whom were energized and ready to join me in taking Paylocity to the next level. Today, I’m fortunate enough to work with Toby Williams, my Co-CEO and be surrounded by the best people in the business — from the rest of our leadership team to our software engineers, sales team, and all of our team members helping our clients every day. And they’ve all been with me every step of the way.

We’ve done a lot of great things here at Paylocity, but the thing that continues to make me most proud is looking at the strong internal culture we’ve built. Because not only do our employees deserve it, our clients do as well. It all stems from my belief that a great culture is the key to delivering an exceptional client experience. And when you look at Paylocity, that’s what we do best. We partner with our clients to help them with whatever they need today, so we can move forward together toward a tomorrow that is full of opportunity.

I hold a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Business Administration from Queen's University — both located in Ontario, Canada, which is where I’m from. (Proud Canadian that I am.) When I’m not working, I spend my free time with my wife and our four kids.

In fact, I often ask them for their reaction to product and marketing ideas as a way of gauging their appeal to Gen Z. I strongly believe interacting with as many different people as possible allows a leader to develop a broader perspective and ultimately make better decisions. So in a way, I have my kids to thank for that too.

“True partnership happens when you communicate purposefully with openness and transparency. When you commit yourself to really helping each other move forward toward something different so you can achieve something greater than where you’re at today. That’s one of the things that makes Paylocity so great. We’re more than a provider. We’re a partner to all our customers.”

Toby Williams

Toby Williams

President and Co-Chief Executive Officer

When I came to Paylocity in 2017, I was excited to join an incredible team and an incredible culture, and to make an impact for our business, our clients, and our employees. Today, I serve as President and Co-CEO and partner with Steve to lead our teams as we #EarnItEveryDay! And I remain as passionate as ever about continuing to develop our culture while helping drive our growth (#GrowthFuelsOpportunity).

I’ve held multiple software company leadership roles throughout my career in operations, product, strategy, and finance – after starting out as a corporate lawyer and investment banker.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Houghton College and my Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!). When I’m not at work, you can find me enjoying the outdoors somewhere – hiking, running, paddle boarding, or kayaking in the summer – and skiing or snowshoeing in the winter.

“I love how we strive to make a difference for our clients and their employees — and our employees — every single day. It makes working at Paylocity the perfect combination of fun and rewarding.”

Ryan Glenn

Ryan Glenn

Chief Financial Officer

I joined Paylocity in 2013, and as CFO I lead our finance, accounting, legal, and procurement teams. It’s also my responsibility to manage interactions with the investment community, which means communicating the financial results and the strategic direction of the company to our investors, who mean a lot to me personally, as I was a key member of the team who helped take Paylocity public in 2014.

I earned a Bachelor of Science Summa Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell, and have spent my whole career working closely with companies on various accounting and reporting topics related to equity offerings and other capital markets transactions. Outside the office, I spend most of my time with my wife and two daughters. But I also try to sneak in a few rounds of golf here and there whenever I can.

“One thing that sets Paylocity apart is, while we’re squarely focused on growth, it’s not at all costs. Every decision we make is made with our employees and clients in mind, and I think that is a real differentiator.”

 Jill Morrison

Jill Morrison

Chief Human Resources Officer

As Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), I enjoy the privilege of overseeing the strategy for the people and culture initiatives at Paylocity. Our HR teams work with leaders across the organization to translate business requirements into an executable talent strategy that supports long-term employee growth and development.

I joined Paylocity in 2022, bringing more than 20 years of dedicated and progressive HR experience. I’m especially looking forward to leveraging my many years as a change agent and leader in high-tech companies experiencing tremendous growth and transformation. As an HCM company that puts people first, Paylocity is the perfect place for me to exercise my passion for HR’s unique role in enabling the success of individuals and the business as a whole.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) and started my HR career in automotive advertising in Detroit. After six wonderful years working abroad in London, I returned to the States and continued in the technology industry in the Northern Virginia area. Most recently, I spent more than seven years in the dynamic higher education tech space, leading several areas of HR at Ellucian and supporting the business through significant private equity transactions and acquisitions. Outside the office, you can find me with my family on one of the many trails, rivers, or lakes in Northern Virginia, or planning our next big travel adventure.

“I feel so fortunate to contribute to the impressive growth and continued success of Paylocity. It’s clear from our culture, decisions, and everyday actions that people are the heart of how the business moves forward together — with both our employees and our clients.”

 Rachit Lohani

Rachit Lohani

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Senior Vice President (Engineering and Product), at Paylocity, I am excited to be a part of the transformation, building human capital management (HCM) technology that improves our clients’ workplaces and experiences. The HCM space is evolving and driving a lot of much-needed change, and at Paylocity our values promote a strong culture that not only encourages our teams to listen to our clients while building for the future but also respect each other’s unique backgrounds and values. I strongly align with Paylocity in terms of culture, perspective, and the impact that we want to have on people. I am grateful to be a member of this amazing team.

My experience spans across 15 years in the engineering space, leading and mentoring teams globally for companies such as AOL, Netflix, Intuit, and most recently Atlassian, where I was Head of Engineering, leading a team of more than 400, responsible for the product and core experiences serving over 25 million customers.

When I am not in “build” mode for Paylocity specifically, I spend time with my girls. I have 2 daughters, and my world revolves around them. I think they sense that and have started to take advantage of that, which I love.

“As a leader, I strive to build high-performing teams by bringing customers closer to the makers. The most exciting part of my job is the people. Once we have the right environment, organizations can deliver value to delight the customer.”

Holly Fulp

Holly Fulp

Chief Strategy Officer

As Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Strategy Officer at Paylocity, I partner with our leadership team in the development and execution of Paylocity's strategy. I joined the team in 2018 with significant experience in strategy, focused on the software/tech sector, as well as corporate finance and investment banking, including mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, and debt financings.

A native North Carolinian, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy with a minor in Economics from Duke University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Outside the office, I put my strategic mind to work thinking about how I can spend more time outdoors. Different geographies. Different seasons. Each one prime for a different activity: hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing, sea kayaking, snorkeling. I love them all.

“I am proud to be part of a team that’s developing and executing a strategy focused on the promise of tomorrow and driven by customer needs.”

Josh Scutt

Josh Scutt

Senior Vice President of Sales

Superior service and industry-leading technology are the hallmark of Paylocity — our people and our products. And as Senior Vice President of Sales, I’m focused on capitalizing on both. I came to Paylocity with more than two decades of payroll experience, which helps me lead sales nationally for each of our segments: enterprise, mid-market, and small business. Throughout my career, I’ve always been passionate about sales as well as leadership. Before Paylocity, I served as Vice President of Enterprise Sales at National Cash Register and successfully led a team that serviced companies with $3.5 billion to $100 million in annual revenue. Before that, I managed a winning team of more than 350 leaders and 1,800 direct sales associates.

Travel just comes with the territory in sales, so naturally, I’ve got roots all over the country. I’m a native of upstate New York. I’m a proud 1994 graduate of Northern Michigan University (go Wildcats!). And I currently live near Atlanta with my wife Amy and our two daughters, Alexa and Erica. In my free time, you can find me hanging with my “home” team, relaxing with my family in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

“Sales at Paylocity is being able to devote your energy and effort to sales distribution and partner engagement. That’s what happens when you’re backed by an amazing product and impeccable implementation and service.”

Kathy Ross

Kathy Ross

Senior Vice President, Operations

Engaged employees drive the best experience for our clients, and Paylocity’s belief in its people is what makes the company stand out. That belief transcends into a passion for clients and a unique, dynamic culture. After more than 25 years in the human capital management market as well as in healthcare, I’ve never encountered such an open collaboration with clients. That interaction truly makes it possible for us to build the best, most modern platform that results in an experience our clients can own.

In my career, I’ve worked in all market sizes, from small business to large global companies, including previous employers ARAMARK, ADP, and Abbott. I’ve sold payroll door-to-door, built products with technology teams, launched new businesses, led service operations, and have led P&Ls for more than 12 years. I’m energized to contribute to the thousands of clients we enable and serve each day to help their businesses thrive.

As a native of Pittsburgh, PA, I am a loyal Steelers fan, and I can also be found rooting for the Auburn University Tigers (we fell in love when our daughter attended.) I honed my work ethic at Cornell University as an undergraduate and earned my Master of Business Administration at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management while working full time. I have a wonderful husband and two adult children, one in medicine and the other in film, of whom I couldn’t be more proud.

“A lot of companies say they’re people-focused, and Paylocity really is. You can see it in our decisions and beliefs, in our passion to help clients succeed, and in the actions we take to uphold the culture we’ve worked so hard to create.”

Misty Baca

Vice President of Client Services

I am extremely lucky to lead some of the most amazing, smart, and talented people at Paylocity in my role as Vice President of Client Services. I believe our employees are the best in the business, driven by true servant hearts.

After 30 years in the payroll and HCM industry, I joined Paylocity to work with clients of all sizes and complexities. What I love and value about Paylocity is the passion we have for supporting our employees. Each of us is encouraged to be our best, most authentic self, so we can create the best client experiences together.

I am a native of Southern California, and in case you are wondering -- yes, I love the weather! When relaxing on the weekends, I enjoy attending live musical theatre, and my guilty pleasure is binge-watching science fiction shows on my favorite streaming platforms.

“Why I chose Paylocity is simple. We lead with best-in-class technology supported by employees who are passionate about the service we provide. We work hard and play hard, and there is no place better than being a part of the PCTY family.”

Adam Byerley

Adam Byerley

Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development

As Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development, I lead a talented group of individuals that are responsible for driving the company’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A), business development, and corporate-level strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Paylocity in 2019, I worked for Morgan Stanley and Bank of America, gaining experience through several roles that spanned M&A, corporate finance, capital markets, regulatory risk management, and operations research.

I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and earned a Master of Business Administration with high honors from the University of Chicago (Booth). I currently live in the Charlotte metro area, and when I’m not working, I enjoy exploring the nearby beaches and mountains with my wife and three children.

“A key factor that brought me to Paylocity was the company’s focus on people and culture, as well as growth and business success. This provides an environment where our employees are motivated to bring the best version of themselves every day to drive differentiated outcomes for our clients.”

Andy Cappotelli

Andy Cappotelli

Vice President of Client Tax Operations & Chief Compliance & Risk Officer

A native of upstate New York, I kickstarted my career in leadership with a “Big Four” accounting firm in the role of senior manager, and I’ve held one leadership role after another ever since. The path that led me to Paylocity wasn’t a straight line, but it was exciting and fulfilling. I spent some time with Gibraltar, then Black and Decker, before finally making the leap to the payroll industry. After 11 years in financial leadership roles, including a stint as Vice President of a payroll and HCM company called Trinet, I found my inevitable home at Paylocity in 2018.

I earned both my Bachelors in Business Administration in Accounting and Masters of Business Administration from Saint Bonaventure University and am also a Certified Public Accountant. When I’m not doing math, I’m doing the whole “dad” thing, playing the game of life (not the board game, the real-life version) and trying to maintain my legendary fly fisherman status. “Legendary” being a relative term, of course.

“We have an amazing culture here. That’s not a tagline. It's the cornerstone DNA in how we approach our work, our relationships, our innovation and our client service. I’m grateful to be part of a company that has such a strong commitment to always doing the right thing.”

Rob Goldstein

Rob Goldstein

Vice President of Technical Services

I started my career programming for and installing margining, accounting, and regulatory reporting systems for the futures and options trading industry. Then, I spent several years working for a software consultancy firm, as well as a Fortune 500 print service company, before finally joining Paylocity in 2005. Today, I’m proud to lead my team through the company's unparalleled growth. As Vice President of Technical Services, I lead a varied group of professionals who are truly unique to the human capital management (HCM) industry. These are talented and experienced software engineers, accountants, and benefits and time and labor consultants focused on implementing, customizing, and servicing systems and products that make life easier for our customers.

I graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a bachelor's degree in economics and political science, and earned my master's degree with distinction in management information systems from DePaul University. Even though most of the time, my head is focused on our clients and my team in a skyscraper in suburban Chicago, my heart is likely on a mountain bike somewhere in the middle of a forest with my wife and son, set on the idea of a juicy IPA waiting for me at the end of the ride.

“I’m so proud to work with a team that puts so many uniquely qualified people in the position to help our customers use our products to the fullest and develop custom solutions that solve their hardest business challenges. At Paylocity, you can count on every single person to pull through whenever there’s an important task that needs to be done.”

Vice President of Implementation

At Paylocity, we are committed to providing our clients with the best service combined with our industry leading technology. As Vice President of Implementation, my team is responsible for providing an effortless experience that makes joining the Paylocity family easy for clients. I am fortunate to lead a group of amazing individuals who are committed to ensuring we deliver on the value of our solution. I also enjoy working with teams across the organization to fulfill our promise of moving forward together.

Before joining Paylocity, I spent 20 years in the human capital management space holding various leadership roles in both finance and operations. I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Notre Dame (GO IRISH!). Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and taking in all that Upstate New York has to offer. In the summer you can also find me on the golf course enjoying time with family and friends.

“I am proud to be part of a team this committed to the employee experience and driven to provide solutions to our clients’ ever-changing business needs. We combine an amazing culture with passionate people and best-in-class technology to create something special.”

 Amber Livingston

Amber Livingston

Vice President and General Counsel

At Paylocity, I oversee our legal function and lead the company’s legal initiatives. My job is to anticipate potential issues before they become actual issues so that Paylocity can focus on doing what it does best — delivering the highest quality technology and service to our clients.

Before I joined Paylocity, I was the Corporate and Securities Counsel at Motorola Solutions, and I started my career as a corporate and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) attorney at Skadden in Chicago.

I grew up in a small town in South Carolina and moved to Atlanta for college. I received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Emory University and a law degree from Northwestern Law. When I’m not tackling legal matters for Paylocity, you can find my husband and me chasing after our two busy toddlers or checking out a new restaurant in Chicago (pre-COVID of course!).

“One of the reasons I was drawn to Paylocity is the community culture. Everyone is willing to come together, roll up their sleeves and create solutions to problems that are not necessarily their direct problem. Our customers should rest easy knowing there are 3,000+ minds at work creating the most thoughtful HR software solutions.”

Adam Mcelhinney

Adam McElhinney

Vice President Chief Data Officer

As Vice President Chief Data Officer, I take all the data around how our products are used to find opportunities to unlock new value for our clients. To me and my team, all the numbers and charts translate to insights that drive new products and functionality enhancements.

Before I came to Paylocity, I was Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer for a technology company, where I led a team of 75 data scientists who built cutting-edge industrial data analytics tools. In my career, my research has led to 18 patent filings in machine learning, the Internet of Things (IOT), software engineering, and Big Data technology. I’ve also had the honor of being recognized by the Illinois Technology Association (ITA) as the 2018 Technologist of the Year.

I earned my master's degree in statistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago and have undergraduate degrees in mathematics, economics, and political science from Indiana University Bloomington. Outside Paylocity, I’m an adjunct professor in the Computer Science and Mathematics departments at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT). When I’m not at work, you can usually find me enjoying many of Chicago’s great restaurants or at home trying to replicate my favorite chefs’ dishes.

“The thing that strikes me most about Paylocity is the passion everyone has toward empowering our clients’ workforces. I’ve always been a numbers geek my whole life, and the opportunity to leverage data sets to empower a modern workforce makes me really excited to go to work every day.”

Meera Mehta

Chief Marketing Officer

As Chief Marketing Officer, I’m responsible for all aspects of marketing at Paylocity. I’m passionate about understanding our customers' needs and vision for the future, and articulating how our solutions and services truly move us forward together. The best part of being part of the marketing team? We have the opportunity to hear from our customers daily to learn how they’re using Paylocity to achieve their goals and then sharing their stories and successes broadly.

I have more than 20 years of experience leading sales and marketing teams in a variety of B2B SaaS tech companies including Siebel, Microsoft, ClearSlide, and InMobi. I have been fortunate to bring solutions to market in CRM, sales enablement, martech, communications, and collaboration as well as launch innovative new platforms in IoT and AI. I received my bachelor’s degree in Economics and Masters degree in International Policy Studies from Stanford University (Go, Cardinal!). Thankfully, I went to MIT Sloan for my MBA, so I don't have any competing sports allegiances. I grew up in Seattle but have spent so much time in the San Francisco bay area, I consider both cities my home. When I'm not at work, you can find me on my favorite hilly running trails or trying out a new fitness class.

"Paylocity doesn't have a culture of standing still. When we say we ‘Earn It Every Day,’ we mean it. Every day is a chance to prove to our customers how we care more by delivering innovative solutions and outstanding service."

Christine Pellini

Vice President Product and Technology

I started my career at Paylocity in 2006 as a developer. Today, as Vice President of Product and Technology, I lead product strategy and development efforts focused on human capital management (HCM) automation. From payroll to performance, it’s my goal to make our clients’ jobs easier.

Over the course of the last decade and a half, I’ve had the pleasure of holding many different roles that have expanded my experience with the entire Paylocity product suite. My double major in Mathematics and Computer Information Systems from Dominican University and post-graduate work from DePaul University, has served me well in the various positions.

When not working, you can find me hanging out with my four-legged family members or finding a quiet place to get lost in a good book.

“The opportunity and challenge of helping our customers solve their problems through technology fuels me to continue to drive advancements in Paylocity’s products.”

 Monica Roberts

Vice President of Talent Acquisition

As Vice President of Talent Acquisition, I’m responsible for shaping the vision and strategic initiatives that enable us to compete for the top talent in the market. Doing so also involves collaborating with CXO’s business leaders, HR leaders, and external partners. I have a well-developed point of view and drive a strong and efficient methodology that sets us up for a successful, motivated workforce today and beyond while delivering a high-touch experience.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Organizational Psychology from University of Illinois at Chicago, and prior to joining Paylocity, I spent 17 years with Abbott. During that time, I held many roles with increasing responsibilities, including a 2.5-year expatriate assignment in Singapore leading Abbott’s APJ Talent Acquisition team. In my last role at Abbott, I led global talent acquisition for Devices, Diagnostics, and Nutrition organizations, setting strategy and successfully leading a team of internal recruiters and external partnerships.

I believe that the ability to attract high-performing, top talent is a direct reflection of a company's culture and that recruiting teams are integral partners to the business. By translating market trends into executable plans, we’re enabled to continue delivering best-in-class products and services.

"I’m passionate about the Talent Acquisition space, and what I love about this business is that it's never stagnant and full of challenges that constantly stretch you!"

As a native Michigander, I earned my Bachelor’s in Business Administration degree in Accounting Information Systems from Central Michigan University and am also a Certified Public Accountant. In my free time, you can either find me on the tennis court or perfecting a new gourmet dish, with my wife and daughter as tough judges.

"What attracted me about Paylocity was how the company and leadership team “lives the reputation” in caring deeply about building and maintaining an outstanding culture."

Vice President of Real Estate and Procurement

When I joined Paylocity in 2013 as Vice President of Human Resources, we were expanding into new spaces I had the privilege of helping to design. We started with floor plans and workspaces for our new corporate headquarters in Schaumburg, IL, and then moved on to our new offices in Lake Mary, FL, and Meridian, ID. In 2018, I transitioned to Vice President of Real Estate and Procurement.

My 25-year career as an HR executive has included wide-ranging experience, working alongside other executives to align HR and business strategies. I’ve developed services, leadership, and operations capabilities for global business services, operations, call centers, and information technology business units.

In addition to my time in HR, I also have expertise in business management, large-scale project and program management, and steering all aspects of mergers and acquisitions integrations. As Vice President Chief Diversity Officer, I have the privilege of leading our HR function with an inclusive lens while developing strategies and programs that continue to foster a diverse and equitable workplace. Prior to joining the team in 2020, I spent more than 20 years providing strategic HR support; developing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) programs; and coaching leaders across all areas of the organization. I’m passionate about cultivating a workplace where employees can bring their whole selves to work and feel safe, valued, and respected. I’m a firm believer that diversity makes us all better.

I’m an HR person at heart. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, from the University of North Texas and am a Certified Executive Leadership Coach. My role allows me to leverage my personal and professional experiences to make a difference.

Chris Stratton

Chris Stratton

Vice President, Sales

I joined Paylocity in January of 2019 as the Regional Vice President of Sales for the East, leading that team to top performance the following year. I’m proud that those markets continue to see quality expansion and continued success that has opened many doors for others to advance their careers. Today, as Vice President of Sales, I oversee our entire Major Markets Sales organization and our Channel Success team, working closely with nearly every functional area to support our go-to-market efforts and long-term growth strategy. We’re focused on delivering great support and experiences for our employees, prospects, clients, and partners. I strongly believe that engaged and motivated employees deliver exceptional levels of service to our clients, along with tremendous results that typically exceed our business objectives.

I’ve had the pleasure of working at a few world-class organizations in my professional life and lean on that diverse experience each and every day. My childhood upbringing as an “Army brat” also taught me how to adapt to new surroundings, foreign cultures, and different types of individuals at a very rapid pace. As a kid, I attended nine different schools during my K-12 years, but eventually found my home in Athens, GA. I attended the University of Georgia and graduated from the Terry College of Business. When I’m not doing what I love at Paylocity, you can find me cheering on my two daughters, Audrey and Abigail, at an Atlanta-area tennis court, or on Lake Lanier enjoying a peaceful sunset with my wife, Irma.

“I wake up every day focused on how to help my broader team capitalize on the opportunity that Paylocity affords them. Building a fun work environment, centered around our people being equipped with great tools to share the Paylocity story, is at the core of what we do. Dynamic leaders with motivated teams deliver great results. Therefore we’ll remain focused on keeping Paylocity the premier destination for employees and clients alike, and the rest will take care of itself.”

Vice President and Head of Modern Workforce

As Vice President and Head of Modern Workforce, I oversee all aspects of product, technology, and innovation required to empower, inspire, and enable the future of work.

I love solving complex problems, realizing new and challenging concepts, building amazing teams, and pushing the envelope of product, design and development.

I’m a strong advocate of leadership beyond operational excellence, with a special passion for empowering individuals to grow within an organization.

I’ve had the privilege to spend the last two decades helping several Global 500 organizations achieve their revenue and business growth objectives through human-centered innovation.

A native of India, I earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.

After a rewarding day at work, you can find me watching repeats of Modern Family with my wife, two kids, and two shiba inus or at the gym rocking to some Deadmau5 tunes. I love all things product and, since my toddler is obsessed with Formula 1, I’m currently figuring out how to build an F1 racing simulator that would fit a 40-inch-tall human.

“I love the fact that everyone at Paylocity is grounded by the strong belief that our primary role is to create products that inspire and elevate team spirit. An inclusive culture, a community mindset, and the opportunity to partner with our customers to create an engaging and meaningful workplace that is focused on providing a curated employee experience is so rewarding.”
